Our Journey of Faith and Purpose
We are a young family guided by faith and strengthened through experience — still growing, still learning, and walking daily in obedience to the call God placed on our hearts. Our story isn’t one of ease or instant success; it’s one of faith through the wilderness — trusting that God’s plan is greater than our understanding.
The Call to Go
For years, we made our home in Washington State near my grandparents — two faithful examples who have shaped our lives. As of summer 2025, they are 99 and 101 years old, still living together and still praying for us.
During that season, God stirred something deep within us — a clear call to sell our home and move to Texas to begin building a place of healing and restoration — a ranch and retreat where faith and renewal meet.
When We Tried to Do It Our Way
We obeyed and went — but soon complicated God’s plan by turning back. Believing we needed “better opportunities,” we returned to Washington for a promising job, but our hearts were restless.
Even after moving again to Arizona, peace never followed. It took those long, wandering seasons to learn what God had been asking all along — to stop striving in our own strength and surrender fully to His.
Surrender and Promise
When we finally said, “Lord, we’re done trying to do this on our own — You take the reins,” everything began to change. Doors opened that we could never have forced. The right people. The right land. The right timing.
Like Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David, we learned that waiting seasons aren’t wasted when they’re anchored in faith.
The Miracle Unfolding
God’s promise to build something greater than ourselves has never wavered. What doctors once said was impossible has become our living testimony — a story of recovery, restoration, and renewal through faith and hard work.
Radiant Oaks Ranch now stands as proof that small beginnings, faithful hearts, and surrendered hands can build something far greater than we ever imagined.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:1
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31
“Faith is the assurance of things hoped for.” — Hebrews 11:1
Ranching — a Constant Revelation of Change
Some days we chase dreams — other days, it’s just the chickens.
A Few Fun Facts About Us
Life around Radiant Oaks Ranch isn’t all work and no play — we do our best to keep things real, a little imperfect, and filled with the kind of laughter that reminds us of God’s goodness.
We’ve traveled to every state in the U.S. except five, and while we both love exploring new places, Hawaii will forever be our favorite getaway. I was born in Washington and raised on a family farm in Ohio — dirt under my nails, tractor grease on my jeans, and a love for hard work and open skies. My wife, on the other hand, was born near Detroit, Michigan — city roots, quick wit, and the kind of grace that only comes from a life spent helping others.
For over a decade, she served in some of the most demanding corners of medicine — the neurosurgical ICU, heart, liver, and lung transplant ICUs, and trauma care units — at world-class hospitals including the Mayo Clinic. For the past five years, she’s poured her heart into labor and delivery, helping bring new life into the world with compassion, precision, and strength. Her dedication is a reflection of what every nurse aspires to be — and something no one should ever take for granted.
Now, for the fun part — we’re opposites in almost every way. She’s a sushi-and-ramen girl; I’m a steak-and-potatoes guy. She loves cars; I’ll take a good old truck any day. She’s the kind of person who can save a life under pressure but still gets turned around on a hiking trail — always choosing the green trail when the red one’s the right one. (That little “detour” once landed us in mosquito country, down a ravine, and with a popped wheelchair tire — but hey, it makes for a great story.)
We balance each other in more ways than one — I’m the wordy one, and she’s the one with words. I love the details; she just likes things done. She’ll take the cruise ship, and I’ll take a dive beneath the waves — exploring the quiet, weightless world below while she enjoys the view from above. But whether above or below the surface, we both find joy in God’s creation and gratitude in the journey we share.
Before my injury, I loved powerlifting and running five to ten miles a day — time spent connecting with God and nature. I also had the opportunity to serve on mission trips in Haiti and Mexico, experiences that shaped my faith and strengthened my conviction to serve others. Though my legs don’t move like they used to, my determination never slowed down. Since then, I’ve rock-climbed, scuba-dived, and even trained alongside Olympic athletes — proof that limits are often where faith begins.
There was only one rule when we got married: I just had to promise not to roll over her toes. (Spoiler: it’s still a work in progress.)
Through every difference, every adventure, and every shared laugh, one thing never changes — we both love God deeply and strive to follow Him in everything we do.
Be Part of Something Bigger — Where Faith Builds What Hands Cannot.
Each Day, We See God at Work.
At Radiant Oaks Ranch, we’ve learned that what we’re building isn’t just fences, gardens, or barns — it’s faith. Every sunrise brings new reminders that God’s hand is in the soil, in the work, and in every heart that crosses our path.
This ranch is more than our livelihood — it’s our ministry. A place where hope grows out of hard ground, where small beginnings become blessings, and where the ordinary becomes holy when surrendered to Him.
If you’ve ever longed to be part of something real — something rooted in faith and purpose — you’ll find it here, in every acre, every season, and every story God is still writing.
The Journey Continues
Radiant Oaks Ranch is more than where we live — it’s a purpose in motion. Each day reveals new ways God’s hand is at work — shaping hearts, growing faith, and reminding us that the best chapters are still being written.
Where Purpose Takes Root
Every step of our story — the laughter, the lessons, the miles, and the miracles — has led us here. Radiant Oaks Ranch isn’t just a dream we’re chasing; it’s a calling we’re living. It’s where faith meets hard work, where family and purpose grow side by side, and where every project, prayer, and handshake is offered with gratitude. We’re still learning, still growing, and still trusting the path God is laying before us — one day, one season, and one act of faith at a time.
Faith in Action
Our faith isn’t just something we talk about — it’s the foundation of everything we do. From sunrise chores to late-night crafting, we strive to honor God through the work of our hands, the care we show others, and the joy we find in serving.
Growing with Intention
Every pasture, garden bed, and project reminds us that growth takes time, care, and faith. We’re still planting, learning, and tending to what God’s placed in our hands — trusting that, in His timing, it will all flourish.
Built by Hand, Guided by Heart
Whether it’s a wooden bowl, a fresh harvest, or a crafted heirloom, each piece tells a story of patience, craftsmanship, and gratitude. We believe excellence honors God — and that beauty, created with purpose, points hearts back to Him.
Community with a Purpose
Radiant Oaks Ranch isn’t just about us — it’s about all of us. Each person who visits, prays, lends a hand, or simply believes in what we’re building becomes part of something bigger — a community rooted in hope, hard work, and the goodness of God.

The Heart of Radiant Oaks Ranch
Family • Faith • Texas Heritage
Radiant Oaks Ranch is more than land and livestock — it’s a growing vision for something lasting.
We’re building with faith and purpose, believing that what starts small can grow into a place where lives are changed, hearts are restored, and hope takes root for generations to come.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. — Colossians 3:23
Faith at Work • Purpose in Action • Hope in Motion
More Than a Ranch
We’re not just a meat store, craft shop, or vacation stay — we’re a mission in motion. Every part of the ranch exists to serve a greater purpose and reflect God’s goodness in all we do.
Built with Purpose
What started small continues to grow through faith and family effort. Together, we’re answering God’s call to create a place where hard work and hope come together.
Living Our Faith
Colossians 3:23 guides every step — working with all our hearts, as for the Lord. Each day we strive to honor Him through service, craftsmanship, and care for others.
The Call to Go
For years, we made our home in Washington State, close to my Grandparents — two faithful examples who have shaped our lives.
As of summer 2025, they are 99 and 101 years old, still living together in their own home, still praying for us and cheering us on.
During that season, God began to stir something deep within us — a clear call to sell our home and move to Texas.
The purpose was simple and bold: to begin building a place of healing and restoration — a ranch and recovery retreat where faith and renewal meet.
When We Tried to Do It Our Way
We obeyed and went, but soon complicated God’s plan by turning back.
Believing we needed “better opportunities,” we returned to Washington for a promising job — yet our hearts were restless.
No matter how good the paycheck or how familiar the surroundings, we knew we couldn’t go back once God had called us forward.
So we tried again, this time moving to Arizona for another job opportunity — but peace still didn’t follow.
It took those long, wandering seasons to understand what God had been asking all along:
to stop striving in our own strength and surrender fully to His.
Surrender and Promise
When we finally said, “Lord, we’re done trying to do this on our own — You take the reins,” everything began to change.
Doors opened that we could never have forced open ourselves.
The right people appeared.
The right land.
The right timing.
Piece by piece, what once felt impossible began to fall perfectly into place.
Our journey has reminded us of so many who came before —
Noah waiting faithfully,
Abraham leaving without knowing where he was going (Genesis 12:1-2),
Moses enduring the desert,
David trusting between anointing and kingship,
and Jesus Himself working quietly as a carpenter until His appointed time.
Waiting seasons aren’t wasted when they’re anchored in faith.
The Miracle Unfolding
God’s promise to build something greater than ourselves has never wavered.
What doctors once said was impossible — recovery, restoration, renewal — has become our living testimony.
Through faith and hard work, the miracle continues to unfold day by day.
Our dream is to build a place where others can find that same hope —
a ranch and retreat where faith meets action, families are strengthened, and hearts are healed.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:1
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31
“Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” — Hebrews 11:1
We are still on this journey — one step, one prayer, one act of obedience at a time.
But we know this: when God is behind it, He opens doors no one else can.
Radiant Oaks Ranch stands as a testimony to that truth —
a reminder that small beginnings, faithful hearts, and surrendered hands can build something far greater than we ever imagined.

Faith, Family, and a Little Bit of Sawdust
Because around here, purpose and laughter go hand in hand — and every day on the ranch tells its own story.
The Great Wheelchair Trail Adventure
You haven’t really tested your faith (or your shock absorbers) until you’ve followed my wife down the wrong trail — again. Somehow, the “easy green path” always ends in a mosquito ambush, a flat tire, and a whole lot of laughter. But that’s life around here: sometimes off-course, always full of grace, and usually worth the ride.
The Smell of Sawdust and Second Chances
Some people smell fresh bread or morning coffee and think of home — for me, it’s sawdust. That scent reminds me that God builds beauty out of broken pieces, one cut, one layer, one sanding at a time. Whether it’s crafting heirloom woodwork, tending the animals, or growing food for our community, each day is a small act of redemption — proof that purpose often starts right where you stand.
Faith at Work — Boots On or Off
Whether I’m behind the laser engraver, she’s in the delivery room, or we’re side by side at the farmers market, our mission stays the same: to serve with joy, lead by example, and share the hope we’ve found through faith. The work may change from day to day, but the calling never does — do everything as unto the Lord, and leave the rest in His hands.
Be Part of Something Real — From Our Pastures to God’s Purpose.
Every fence post, every harvest, and every handcrafted piece carries a story — not just ours, but the story of what God can do through faith and hard work. Whether you visit us at the market, walk our pastures, or simply follow along from afar, you’re part of this journey too — where purpose grows deeper than the roots of any oak.
